Qualification for Membership

To qualify for membership, an organisation must comprise
a) one or more advocate & solicitors practising IP, or
b) one or more registered patent agents practising the profession of a patent agent
and holding a valid practising certificate.

Privileges of Membership

An organisation member is
1) Eligible to vote
2) Entitled to be represented by up to a maximum of 3 representatives (or such number as decided by APAA) at meetings of APAA.

Upon approval of membership, this information will appear on the Register

A representative must be able to qualify for individual membership as an advocate & solicitor or registered patent agent practising IP in Singapore.

an organisation comprising one or more advocates and solicitors with valid practising certificates issued under the Legal Profession Act (Cap. 161) practising intellectual property law in Singapore; or

an organisation comprising one or more patent agents registered under the Patents Act (Cap. 221) with valid practising certificates practising the profession of patent agents in Singapore
